What to expect as a new patient

Coming to a new chiropractic office can be daunting for many, especially if this is your first time seeing a chiropractor. We offer an initial consultation to first determine if we can help with your problem. We are going to make that transition much easier for you, outlining exactly what to expect in your first discussion with the chiropractor.

Once you have made your appointment, you will have an allocated time. You will receive a phone call prior to your first visit to confirm your time, answer any questions you may have, and help you with directions. Your confirmation is vital. Please ensure that we have a good phone number to reach you. If your appointment is not confirmed, it may be canceled.

We want to gather all the information necessary to help you. You will be asked to fill out our initial paperwork. This form outlines your current problems and asks questions about your health history and profile.

It is recommended that you have your paperwork filled out before arriving for your appointment. If you choose to complete your paperwork in the office, you will need to arrive 20 minutes before your appointment.

Save time before your appointment!

Our Step-by-Step Process

You will sit down with one of our Chiropractors and explain your current problem. Our chiropractors will ask you further questions about your health and your history to fully understand how best to help. Our number 1 priority here is to ensure you feel UNDERSTOOD.

Once we have all the information about your health, if our chiropractor feels they can help you, you can proceed with an examination. The comprehensive examination will include a posture exam, neurological and orthopedic examination, plus a chiropractic examination.

The chiropractor will examine your entire spine, not just the area that is in pain.

Once the examination is complete the chiropractor will sit down with you and explain the findings. We make sure to do this in an easy-to-understand way.

After the examination, if it seems that you are a candidate for chiropractic care, the chiropractor will provide your first chiropractic adjustment. Depending on you, your preferences, body type and condition, your chiropractor will use appropriate techniques. If you are not a candidate for chiropractic care, we will refer you to the person who can best help you.

In order to get the full picture of your spinal health, spinal x-rays will be performed. The x-rays can be taken in our office.  If you have had x-rays taken somewhere else in the last year, please bring them with you for your first appointment.

After your examination, your Chiropractor will explain your condition in further detail. The Chiropractor will outline treatment options, explaining costs and recovery times. There will be no hidden surprises with our care. From here, we will work together to help you achieve your goals. Your subsequent appointments will consist of treatments only. Re-examination will be performed periodically.
You will never feel rushed in your treatments. Your chiropractor will always examine your body at each visit and adjust where necessary.
